When looking for a quality RC helicopter for sale, there are several things you need to keep in mind. The first thing you need to do is decide whether you want to purchase a new RC helicopter or a used one. A quick search on the Internet will not only provide you with names of such stores, but will also show you a lot of online shops and options as well. Do not discount web sites like eBay, either, where you can find plenty of hobby shops right on the site that will sell you brand new RC vehicles.

If you are more interested in getting started with a used or “pre-flown” helicopter, you have to be very careful. It is fine and dandy to get a helicopter that has been owned before, you simply have to stay on your game. You should ask the seller some questions.

For example, ask whether any helicopter you look at has all the features you want. If it has been upgraded in anyway, discuss whether you will get the associated accessories. Also, make sure any used 'copters you look at are the size you want, and if they are a brand that makes it easy to find replacement parts if you need them. If someone is trying to sell you an older model for which you can no longer get replacement parts, you may want to pass. If someone is trying to charge you too much for a used model, i.e., a price for which you could easily buy a new RC helicopter, you might want to say “no thanks” there, as well. Most importantly, make sure that any used helicopter you are looking at can fly!
